    Also, I'm not much for these sites that offer you a ton of free shares if you join their E-mail group...and then tell you they'll make you money for clicking on sponsors and stuff. My feelings on this are:
    1. you join the list...supposedly get free shares (which you rarely see)
    2. Once you join they tell you they'll send you a certain percentage of their profits if you join their "browse and we pay you" membership.
    3. You click away at their sponsors, and tell all your friends about it...thinking you're gonna get a haul of money.
    4. Some dude somewhere in Arizona (just hypothetical) gets $.20/click in HIS bank account for you and your friends clickin' away in hopes of making money.
    5. YOU GOT SCAMMED!!!
    I'm not suggesting ANY of these sites do this, I just think it's a little fishy, I suggest you keep your eyes open, and use good judgement. For the most part I'll give these types of sites a fair rating...since they do supposedly give you free shares...but personally I don't like em. -Cheers!

  3. This is an offer that ended a while back, and they've started it back up. Get 10 free shares when you sign up for their E-mail list. I'm not very sure about this kind of offer...but if you have an e-mail account you don't use that much, give it a try. Dsent.com

  4. This is an older offer, but they have taken initiative to prove they are legit with their ways, and once again...that makes me proud! If you've signed up, or sign up for their free shares, send them a SASE and they will mail you the stock certificates, info, and some other fun stuff. I still don't know if they're legal (filed with the SEC properly) but I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt...pending that they're gonna square away all the legal stuff. Net/biz Corporation

Their Free Stock registration is on hold temporarily, but if you send them your name and E-mail address they'll notify you once they get all the legal stuff taken care of and get the FREE STOCK offers going again. I'm giving this one a decent rating because of their effort to makeover their giveaway to make it legit with the SEC...to me this shows they are dedicated to the concept of Free Stocks, and I like that! ecompare.com

  6. New as of 7/28/99. Register for their services and recieve "warrants" after 30 you supposedly get a free share of stock when they go public in Aug. Supposedly this site is already traded on Nasdaq and has approval from the SEC to do things this way...because of this they ask for ALL of your information...including your SSN. I'm giving it a 3 star rating pending that it might turn out to be a great offer in a week or so...however it might easily become a 1 in the near future if something doesn't happen fast.
